Spirit Mountain Ranch and the Sacred White BuffaloJim and Dena Riley have one of the most extraordinary places to visit while you are in Sedona. For anyone believing in Indian Prophecy, miracles, or unexplained events, this is a must see. These events began in the Spring of 1997, a female white buffalo was born on Jim and Dena’s Ranch in Wyoming. A bull in the pasture tried to kill the newborn by flipping her fifteen feet in the air, Jim risked his own life in saving the newborn, and it was a miracle the little girl was not killed. They named the Buffalo “Miracle Moon”. A white buffalo is extremely rare, if not unheard of. Less than ten white buffalo’s have been tested genetically by DNA tests, only Miracle Moon has tested 100% pure North American Bison. The others are found to have been interbred with cattle, called beefalo or cattelo. Miracle Moon is not an Albino, she has dark eyes and blond eyelashes. Jim and Dena moved to their ranch to Flagstaff in December 2001 and Miracle Moon has since given birth to three more white buffalo, all residing in Flagstaff on the Spirit Mountain Ranch. All fathered by a dark buffalo “Willy Wonka”. The White Buffalo is considered a healer by Lakota Indian Prophecy. A legend that told of a white buffalo being born to a white couple in the center of North America during a time of chaos and disaster. It is a sign for Native Americans to seek peace, balance, and harmony with their New World.
