My name is Delores and everyone knows me as “Dee”. I have been an artist in one way or another since I was born. My birth place was Long Island, New York. I was head of an art firm of Commercial Art, worked for the Yellow Pages, and always felt trapped with the walls that surrounded the little cubbies one would work in (very typical when doing ad specs). Later in life one marriage ago and 4 children I moved to Houston, TX. That is where I met my soul mate, man of my dreams; we had a son as well as two step daughters. We had an Art Gallery for 23 years and I also gave art classes from our home. We were very happy…….then we visited Sedona, Arizona and that is when I felt the walls come down from the cubicles that still existed within me from so many years ago. It was like my Heart and Spirit grew wings and the flight was just waiting to happen. We moved to Sedona in 2000 and I have been soaring ever since. I find a lot of my Art comes from feelings while I am sleeping, thru Dreams and just the feelings I wake up with from my dreams. My Art Studio is only steps away from my bedroom door so it does not take me long to sit down at my art desk and start creating. It is at that time I feel my fingers have a mind of their own. It is the feelings that run thru my body, from my Heart, Soul and Spirit that reveals itself when I complete an art piece. I hope that my art can touch another’s Heart, Soul and Spirit, that is the fiber that works the web of connection from one human being to another. I hope I have touched your Heart with my Art.
